Dosen't it check stuff like that through the BIOS? I have a feeling that thoose programs maybe check the BIOS and ask if the thing have any AGP slot. If the BIOS itself support AGP it mayb answers with that back.

...or well, which is this benchmark program? I maybe should try it on a old computer without AGP just to see. It could be like HH said.

probably just assuming its there, but its right about everything else...2 programs say there is a agp now..oh well....(would have been more convenient if I had one..but oh well...)

Hey, post 2600. If this were the 60s, you'd all be giggling about telephones.

It sounds to me like they're just assuming the slot is free since they can't detect anything plugged into one, rather than bothering to check (or maybe just being wrong) if the slot itself exists.

so far ive run 2 benchmark programs, just to see what my computer was like, and to my suprise both say I have an AGP slot free, but when I go to check, there isnt even an agp slot there..

is there something im missing, or are both programs wrong?
