Default td font?

offsite CSS with a <link rel> is really, really bad
Well it's a good thing I used @import then.
Not to mention the oh-so-fun moving text with hover (yes, I'm rediculously nitpicky about that, especially since if you tend to link in the middle of a block of text, like, say, this, it tends to make everything change positions and forces a redraw, taking up a lot of my time while I sit there and wait for my computer to refresh the fscking display)
Dude... You're telling me that when you hover on a link and it makes things move, you have to wait for your computer to redraw it? My god, what are you doing taking that poor thing online? Go give it a proper burial. [edit] Also, when I hover on that link in the quote, only the rest of the line moves.
one of your layouts was even worse in this aspect by making links bolded on hover, making them move even more, especially if they're a lot longer.
Correction: The board's default settings were even worse in this aspect. I wanted to kill that, but didn't know how. I hate it too! |

Yeah, I'm really not too fond of the links either. Perhaps instead of having a full border, just have a bottom border...
Other than that, the layout's decent, but I hate that default td font. |

You're right, I don't like it. Much.
The red/green combo was a bad choice. The fact that the page tends to crap while loading your CSS isn't that great, either (offsite CSS with a <link rel> is really, really bad)

So yeah, I don't like it that much

*Resizes window to 800x600* Hmm, you might be on to something there. I was worried that'd happen... I'll just have to change that a bit, then.
[edit] There, moved some text around a bit. Looks good now, for me anyway. (Although it might be confusing if I end up with ranks that are people's names. Ahem, Iggy Koopa. ) |

Better still.. Make a html page of the standard one.
(I like auto-updating layouts, Prevents a board full of broken links and never-to-load css.)
The box in the bottom right corner seems too tall. It's broken in 1024x768 (which is the higest resolution this moniter can handle) I like it otherwise, but darken the green down a tad.
[edit] Gah, i forgot to comment. |

It's because I used both versions in this thread, so 2 different CSS files got loaded, which can look rather odd.
I agree about the green, actually... I might just have to change it. How's this?
I should have got into this CSS stuff a long time ago. It doth so pwn. It even seems to look right in my bio, amazingly enough. |

I like the blue a lot better than the Christmas one.... and yeah, Jesper hit the nail on the head as far as the green goes. The red is fine, the green is a bit too bright in contrast with it. Other than that, I like the layout, particularly in the blue.
I made my own Christmas layout..... Okay, so I was just lazy and I changed a picture in the old one.... |

Yeah, PNG pwns. (Or in the banner's case, GIF, because IE refused to show it right for some reason. ) Also, your red is a lot brighter and thus more eyeball-melting than mine, so stfu.
And now for a non-Christmas-Mode demonstration.
[edit] Er, you might have to refresh or hit Ctrl+F5. Worst case scenario, click here.
...Come on, this is the right file, reload it already.
Oh, pfft, there's the problem. You have to not have layouts set to Auto-Updating, or else it ignores the one I edited into this post and reloads my current one. Of course that overrides the first one, so you'll have to click here to see that. *Edits into first post*
Also, yet another edit: Inuyasha is supposed to sit on top of the link window. I need to figure out how to keep that window at the top in long posts. |

OMG RED REMOVE RED BURN AAAH.
Actually, I find the green worse. But again, it's all good. Atleast it's not JPEG-compressed. |

But you gotta admit, 26.1K is a nice total file size! (Including CSS, and wootest badge hosted on my own server.)
Now I know the red isn't too great. That's because, of course, this is the special Christmas edition. The normal blue one looks a lot better (and is only 22.8K). After someone relpies, I'll make a post with it to demonstrate.
You may also note my 31337 use of CSS to insert just the text of my user rank (hiding the image and line break), and (hopefully it won't show up) a warning message for if the server goes down, so you know it's not just some really shitty layout. And I need only add 5 characters to switch to Christmas mode. </brag>
Thoughts?
[edit] Due to the fact that I imported two versions of the same style sheet in this thread, and that the second one was done via editing the header, both will appear the same (which one shows up depends on if you have Auto-Update on or not). To view them properly, turn Auto-Update off, then click here for the Christmas one and here for the normal one.
