Yeah, true.
I have respect for the guy no matter his sexual preference (although I would care if he messed with children ;p). He basically gave his life away so thousands of blacks could be free. |

I assure you, the great majority of the people who still like him don't think he did that . The family of the child that sued him had sued many others for the same thing. He's just a wierd guy. |

I'd probably credit the assassinated men of the Black Panther Party, like Fred Hampton. Throughout the 60s, the Black Panters would stand in solidarity with white men who realized White Privelege and attempted to equalize society. |

I read it, but I don't care. I didn't know him so I didn't care who he actually was. Sure he fought for civil rights, but people also give him to much credit. Malcom X did a big part, and not many people even know who that is... |

First of all, if any of this was brought into the public eye you'd have people calling it revisionist history, even if some [or all? jeez I hope not] of it is true. It would be seen as an attempt to undermine civil rights movements in America, because one of the pillars or icons of the movement would be destroyed.
Second, I don't even care to know the lurid details of his life. What he stands for abstractly is way bigger than any of the bad stuff he could have done. Oh so he's a communist and that makes him a devil? How can you demonize someone for what they believe in, even if you view it as wrong?
Re: plagiarism. Go read any kind of academic writing. It will contain all kinds of borrowed segments and lines of reasoning. I'm sure what they were describing is blown way out of proportion.
I generally don't believe much of this site just because the way they deconstructed him is so systematic, and seems slightly biggoted overall. |

Seems like a very serious site. The fact that they keep saying "blacks", "leftists and "jews" all as being bad things also makes me doubt that everything in there is true, or written by serious people.
And I also agree with Geeo, he helped a huge step for civil rights. Who cares what he did in his private life? |
