Oh, okay. But if you ever use that block in the future, then you know how to fix it.

Well, that and a disassembly which allows the instruction to be changed ala NO$GMB. There's more I could use but that would be the basics.

I modified my local copy of Snex9x to have a similar feature while doing some YI reverse engineering. When enabled, if an instruction's effective address matched a list of memory breakpoints, the debugger would be invoked. The feature was accessed through Snes9x's existing command line debugger, which requires a command line terminal in addition to the game display window. It worked under Linux, but I'm not sure if it could easily be made to work under Windows.

Dude, WTF? Not only are you using Freewebs but you zipped the screenshots?

Not that it's impossible, just that it's too much of a pain in the rear end. Show me a SNES emu with a debugger that doesn't suck and I'll show you ASM hacks you wouldn't have dreamt of.

Thank you, BMF. After all, this is about my hack and not an argument over ASM(I didn't bother to read the argument)...

I also uploaded my fixed version. Level 1 has no more bugs or 4-ups.

knuck, Atma: if you two don't have anything useful to contribute to this thread, then leave. I'm not letting it turn into your personal battleground.

When did i say that? I said that i didn't WANT to wait your hack to see "amazing" hacks, becuase let me tell you, there are plenty already.
It'll make more progress than mine? How do you know?

What have YOU done? Oh wait, nothing.~

Atma, please, i'll ask this AGAIN: READ the posts before you REPLY.
I NEVER said that it was impossible. I asked IF it was possible.
Read your posts before you go assuming shit and attacking me or anyone else.

... If you're going to take it literally, then yea you're right, you never actually said it in plain and simple words. But the way you said it seemed to imply that you think it won't get done in ages because it's near impossible (trust me, I read my post carefully. everything that I said was intended)

--"Is it? Since when? Tell me more about it plzplzkthx." --that looked like it was intended to be sarcstic (esspecially because you naturally are an ass to people, so why would it be any different all of a sudden?).
Ok, so it maybe it wasn't intended to be sarcastic (since you act sarcastic a lot, that's what usually expect to see), that would one of few serious posts I've seen you make (I've notice that you usually try to act like an ass wherever the opportunity arises).

Yea, you don't want to see how my "near future" will be. I really don't see why not, since it'll make a lot more progress than your's. If you "do" happen to think this stuff is hard, then you'll never get anywhere with it (plain and simple truth) Btw, what have you done that's so "amazing"?
I myself haven't done anything much in SMW with a Hex Editor yet, but I have done plenty in Sonic 2 (not at the programming level yet, but I've still done stuff that most people don't know how to do yet), so as soon as I'm done with school this Term (I've got a lot of homework right now), then I'll start doing some of the same things in SMW,... and then I'll spend some time to learn how to program.

I purposely modified the status bar, Smallhacker... It's only a color change of "MARIO" anyway...

Thanks for the comments. I'm going to start fixing these issues right away.

That's right. You can only go so far before you come to a big gap with nothing after it

Smallhacker's already posted most of the stuff I would've said about the first level (the plant half of the upside-down piranha plant, the goal sphere, and the block you can get the cape from)

As far as the second level, definitely darken the background The blue coins and pipes do look really good, but they just don't fit in with that level type. I can see why you plan on redoing that level

Finally, the castle's graphics are good as well You just need to finish that level

That is not sprite hacking. It's OAM hacking.
Or so i was told.~

What I mean is that it's easy to change which graphics a sprite uses. All you have to do is to change one or two bytes (+ 1 bit if you'd like to use page 1/2 instead). I'm too lazy to check which byte(s) to change, though.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
