Sometimes when I play Metroid Prime and the camera doesn't pan far enough, I move my head to try and look around.

I don't do it. I also tend to laugh at the people who do. Especially when their entire body goes with the controller sideways. Heh.

I end up doing that a lot...not like it helps me control my character any...

A lot of people do this. It just seems to be something people do when very intensely focused on something. Unlike everyone else I know, I never do this, as it causes my hair to fall in my face, which is somewhat distracting.

I don't tilt the controller. But I do have a PS2 controller hooked up to my gamecube.

And occasionally I play video games with my feet. I even beat one of my friends at SSB:M with my feet!

I've never been a controller tilter. I find that it makes it harder to play,... it's kinda like trying to play with you neck turned sideways, except it's with your hands (I was doing it intentionally to see what it would be like),... technically it's not nearly as bad as playing with my neck turned sideways (but my point is that it distorts my ability to play to some extent).
It used to annoy me when somebody sitting next to me would do that,... and now I just kinda laugh cause it looks funny.
Not to offend anybody, but to me it looks kinda retarted when people tilt the controller because it looks like their trying to fly a Plane or something .

Steps to flying your very own Plane!:
1: Find a chair and sit in it.
2: Strap a pair of safty goggles to your face.
3: Grab a controller and hold on for dear life.
4: Tilt your hands and body and don't be afraid use your imagination! (remember, whenever you speed up, press your body against the back of your chair)
Fineprint : Warning, using your imagination too much may cause you t o act lik e Barney

I.... really only do that kind of crap when I'm new or novice to a genre. Like, I'm not a big FPS player, and when I was trying to beat the godawful last level of Marthon 2 this summer I would frequently dig my feet into the ground will sitting down and push my back into my chair when I wanted to get away from my enemies. Or in Starfox (when I began many years ago), trying to move my body and controller over to one side to get out of the way of stuff.

If I get really into a racing game (all the time) I will tilt the controller. The only other time I do it is when I'm getting pissed off, and the tilt is basically a wind up towards the TV screen.

I do it absentmindedly now and then. Like... neck and neck finish line races, I tilt foward, or... you know when you *really* get into a good game.

I dont do it much though.

I probably do sometimes without thinking about it... *clicks rarely*

Of course, I could only see myself doing so in racing games.

I used to, but not so much now

Back when we first got our NES and Mario, it was fun watching my brother play it. Near the end of 1-2, where those rising platforms are, he'd raise up the controller as high as he could when Mario was at the top of the screen According to him, the game wouldn't work properly if he didn't do that.

Ugh, it's hilarious watching people who do this. They just look ... stupid.

I used to, when I played games when I was maybe 3-4 years old. But now I don't, if I do it just makes me mess up or something. I don't see how it can be so hard to just relax and allow your hand and controller just sit there.

Sometimes. I used to do it more when I was younger, though.

Do I tilt? Like 80 times man. cheap chappelle show reference
Any ways, of course i tilt. It's a little known secret, that when you hit a sharp turn and turn the controler with the direction the game gives you a little extra turning ability. But honestly, I have no real reason to tilt except for that I've done it since I was 4 playing Zelda on my NES. I tilt, I lift, I dip, I even occasionaly flip, and on rare occasions I will toss. And I totaly understand the casual to let's get it on gaming position.

Never. Well eh, if you count turning it on it's side to better press a series of buttons quickly, then I suppose, but that's not really the same thing. So never.

Always. I just do it, most of the time, I don't even notice until I actually think about this (like this thread). I think I do it moreso now, because I have a wireless controller and I don't have my cats going after the wires that keep moving.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
