Gah, I hate to sound like some bastard, but I noticed in SMB Utility, that there are open spaces for objects to be held, AKA the *None areas...
Even though I can't do much of anything in ASM, I'm going to try and make it so a different object is being changed into spikes, because "Mushroom Nightmare" needs Mushroom platforms. >.>
I KNEW this would happen. |

Rockman Thanks bro, I remember when everybody & their grandma wanted these spikes in their SMB1 hacks long time ago. Guess what I'll be using for Luigi's Chronicles.
Heian-794 Yeah, that hack kicks ass big time! I still go back to play this gem, cause it never gets old. That rabbit mascot is what made it really unique. It's a whole new game.
Skiffles The links are in my first post, under patch & site.
46 Yeah those are the same spikes, but Mikachu must of borrowed them from Kamikaze. The first time I saw these spikes was in Kamikaze's hack XXXX. Kamikaze's hacks rock. |

those aren't the same instant death spikes that kill you even after touching the sides of them that were in that Japanese guy's SMB1 hack with the side-scrolling levels, are they? |

This is the guy who made the Hanshin Tigers "Giabbit Hunting" SMB game! (Giabbit is the oversized-rabbit mascot of the Yomiuri Giants, Japan's media-conglomerate Beelzebubesque baseball team)
That man is a genius! |

I was looking at Kamikaze's site & to my suprise, he released a patch for anyone who wants to use the spikes in their SMB1 hacks, Since his site is in Japanese he also released 2 pics of the spikes in action. After you apply the patch to the SMB1 ROM (Use the one TSV) open the ROM with SMB Utility & go to edit header & switch it to Orange & Mushroom, Just use the Horizontal Coins & the Island (Cannon) & your'e all set to use spikes. Here's the pics...
& heres the SMB1 Spikes patch.
Oops! heres his site. If anyone was curious. |
