hardcoded means its dead set into the games internal workings. There is specific assemly code that make sup thisone battle in particular, all because its designed to make it impossible for you to loose. Repointing the sprite wouldn't do jack shit in this case only if you're willing to muck around in an assembler could you do this. And concidering most people around here aren't even willing to try to use a HEX EDITOR, let alone an assembler, I'm pretty sure this won't be getting done any time soon.
