possibly, you could have the egg, only half a shell after the koopa comes out, so it looks like something came out of it...I think that would look better.

Thanks guys. Yeah Chickenlump is right, an egg doesnt disappear after it is hatched, so i also think it is better that way

By the way, you can use the egg with the same charactistics a shell has, that means, you can do everything you'd do with a shell using the egg

When the egg has hatched its sprite should change to one that looks cracked since it has hatched and of course it cannot hatch again....

before its hatched it should look like it isnt cracked...

something like that to properly be done would require more than one frame of animation...either that or the following 3 step animation:

1. non cracked egg
2. a big "crack" sound effect graphic which covers the entire egg & enemie that is
about to pop out from the top
3. The cracked egg with the enemie over it

1. PLEASE don't use the smiley.

2. Except that you used Yoshi's shell there, and Yoshi's shell goes away afterward. Right now it looks cracked with no actual openings so how did the koopa get out? Something that big would just shatter the egg as it left... So yeah, logically there would be nothing left to spin and throw =/

Should? Heh...
I think it's fine the way it is now, and it's a bit more realistic. When a turtle lays it's eggs, and the turtle hatches and comes out of it's egg, the shell doesn't just..dissapear. If I want to take the empty eggshell, and kick it at something, all the better. (my results in doing such a thing will probably look a bit odd in real life, I'll receive no points, and I doubt I could kill anything with it, but that's not the point.. )

Neat sprite.

Well...
Nice. This could be used to some puzzle maps.
It works like shell? Like, "kick and kill"?

I posted this already in tek, but i'm gonna post this here also.

I am currently on world 3 of my SMW hack (Mario Legends: The Spectral Room), some new level ideas are coming, and with that sprite editor everything is much better now.

Here is a sprite i made in these last days:

See? It is an egg that when it falls down it releases a flying red koopa that goes horizontally. I was thinking on changing the egg's gfx to a gift chest, but an egg would be better imo.
The best part is that Mario can get the egg and use it as a shell
Did you guys like it??
