Yeah I saw that in this video thing that we saw in class. Someone overclocked their computer up to 5.0 GHz

One trick is to remove the head spreaders on a heatsink and solder a copper pipe in where they used to be. Then fill the pipe with liquid nitrogen. Extreme overclocking speeds.

You're best to actually go out and test things yourself if you can, so that other people's bias doesn't color your writing. Course, that's expensive, but still....

And incidentally, I am not a fan of overclocking.... I would rather have a 'slower' but more stable system than a faster system at higher risk.


It's an assignment for my Computer Information Systems and Technology 11 course. I cant actually go out and test things myself because I am a highschool kid with no job. I am not a fan of overclocking, but I am a fan of seeing OTHER PEOPLE's processors and mobos exploding.

So I'm doing a report on the latest and greatest CPU's and overclocking them with the latest and greatest tools and techniques. Anyone have any interesting sites that would have this sort of information?
