Nice information BMF, maybe I will do a non-flashing star, too.
But that can take quite a while, because I lost interests in hacking at the moment, maybe I get back in hacking in a few months.

The palette animation is 4 frames long, and is stored at $0FFE-$1001 (interesting note: Nintendo forgot to shift these values left by 1 bit to account for the 9th tile number bit, so it actually cycles through the wrong colors!). Change all 4 bytes to 04 for a non-flashing yellow star.
