This may be a bit of a bump but I got the animation transparent, at least.
And I made another sprite:
Now, how do I get 'em into Flash? |

But...
Some of thoose fast GIF files jerks up at my school computers.
Whenever there comes gif with almost no delay, the gif animation plays at crazy speed and the computer get stuck at the gif animation playing over and over again... (my browser almost got stuck on that animation while I was in school Trunxy/Dogan )
And it's Internet explorer, over something called citrix. Citrix is... think Terminal. |

Hmm ... I use Animagic too, and can use transparent backgrounds just fine All you have to do is to set that pink as the transparent color ...
As for the animation rate, browsers won't allow any delays below 0.055 second (the old DOS tick length ... I blame Internet Explorer for this, Mozilla and Netscape used to allow faster speeds), even though you won't see it in Animagic ... the Star Mario animation here has the same problem, it's supposed to be at least twice as fast

Well I didn't get it from any sprite sheet or anything like that. I just printed the screen in Mame, frame by frame. (originally 152 of 'em) Then, I took the necessary section, and cleaned it up. Then, I saved them as PNGs and put 'em in an animation. |

Took a look at the palette...looks like it's plenty screwed up...and I'm assuming that you didn't get the jump sequence direct from sprite sheets or anything...otherwise there wouldn't be a laden speed problem either.
Sometimes speed works with you in AS 3.04...sometimes it doesn't...I've noticed a few times trying to put in a GIF that it suffers slowdowns if the height and width are huge. (Like...about 60x60) |

I saved and opened that image in my Animation Shop 3.04 and noticed it has 51 frames with a delay 0.02 seconds each frame (at least the first ones, didn't remember all delay entries from the entire animation ). I think some browsers, probably also the application Animagic, have problems with very low delays for single frames; like IE doesn't seem to register speed improvements in times less than 0.8 s per frame; if there is more crap to load on a webpage, the image also slows down slightly. If you have a fast computer you probably won't notice it, but I think frames in web browsers are always, at least a little, slower than in the GIF animator and such. |

There's always http://www.gifworks.com - I usually go there for my transparency needs. |

Cool sprite. I could fix it for you in Adobe Imageready, just give me a bit. |

Everytime I try to make the background transparent, it spazzes out on me in Animagic. Everything turns all black and crap. I used Animation Shop 3 to make the actual animation. Also, when I change the speeds on the frames, it only seems to view it at that speed in animation shop. Otherwise it moves slow as you can see here. |
