Correct, but there are a few programs that can convert "normal" pictures into ROM graphics. GIF2SNES, for example, can convert GIFs to SNES graphics (duh) and YY-CHR have got a BMP importing feature. |

Uh no you can't make ExGFX with an image devolping tool, you need a tile editor :x |

I suggest gettiing something like Paintshop Pro or Photoshop
both cost $50 - 100+ but you can get demos I have the full version of 8 the latest. |

...nice idea... for a name.
I would like to see screenshots of your stuff. Just names of the worlds do not help me imagine the world. Pipe Rock to me means... a pipe in a rock... or a pipe-shaped rock...
Screenshots will describe a lot. Like they say:
"A picture is worth 1000 words."
So...
"A screenshot is worth *insert number* replies." |

I say that you should just make this hack however you feel, and stop trying to shape it to the crowd's desires. The idea of a Mars world sound fine to me.
And as for the Mario tiles...well...I've decided that I don't think I'll ever even try to change Mario's mustache. But that's me. You should create a test hack where you just play around with the Ex/GFX to see how the system works. Going in there with no knowledge of how to do anything could be disastrous. |

Please look through the older threads before asking for links. You could go back to other pages to get other hacks, such as JJ's hack, my hack, Davis' hack, and a few others. Try looking first.
Also, remove the layout... you need a better picture so we can read the text. |

I have a demo but it's just of the first world, and the plot doesn't really get going until the 3rd world. |
