That depends on how close they are to the originals. If everything looks fine when in the exact same place as the original it'll be fine, else you'd better make your own tiles. |

OK well i got it all to appear correctly accept only in the 16bit direct access part of the object window. Now I don't know if this is how it is supposed to be but I guess it will have to work. That is if this is the right way.
So basically what I am asking is do ExGFX appear correctly in the standard objects section or only in the Direct Map16 access section? |

The Map16 editor makes tiles for SMW. Those objects you use normally do not work with ExGFX (unless you just edit those graphics, but...) so you will have to make your own tiles. Read the help manual for details.
And please read the newbie FAQ. |

it should be in the list of things you add, click on the list and go to the bottem, and click for a 2nd time, now you should see a bunch of blocks of tiles that is map16 |

...did you set the Map16? Seems to me you didn't. You must set up the map16 before using the graphics... |

ExGFX are a pain to get working but well worth it when you get them working, I still to this day am not able to get them working right. the thing you should never forget is... if at first you dont get it right, try, try, try agen. |

Ok I know that many people have likely already asked this question but please hear me out. I have been following the instructions on inserting ExGFX and everything goes fine until I try to actually use them. When I open them up in the object window they appear all garbaled and crappy. I really need some help!
Thanks in advance! |
