It wouldn't make sense to see FFVI done in an "FFX style" mannor ...
Yoshitaka Amano did the artwork and character design for FFVI, while Tetosoya (something like that) did FFVIII, and FFX.
But then again what do I know, I'm just some weird freak how liked and still likes SNES graphics. |

What exactly is FFX's style of graphics? If you mean its style of character design, I think it would look like crap. |

He's already on Cymoro's, IIRC. And you could just make it a plain text list like that one, too. Of course, it'd be likely called a ripoff, but meh, I've considered doing the same.
Aaanyway... Remake FF3 first. Give us what we haven't been given. Then go ahead and remake CT.
Dracoon: How many of those did Square make, though? No, really, I don't know.  Anyway, I doubt it was all of them (or any of them for that matter), so how's about keeping this focused on one company, hm? especially considering how they can't do a thing about what isn't theirs.  |

that's exactly what I mean. I've only seen screenshots of this, but on the PS version of the game, they had some BEAUTIFUL 3D scenes of alot of the characters...and that alone would be enough to make me buy a PS2, if they did that with the game. |

Im playing through the FF6 again, and paying aslot of attention to some stuff. I can imagine how perfect it would be if they remade FF6 using FFX's style of graphics.

Know what I'd do if someone did something like that? Say if someone said something like "ENSIFERUM COMING TO CANADA!!!!" for a topic and then had a message of "I wish that would happen", know what I'd do? I'd laugh. I would get my hopes up since Ensiferum is my favourite band (listening to it right now). I'd read the messege. Then I'd laugh. You have no excuse for being mad. |

Hey. I never said there WOULD be Chrono Trigger for DS. I just said that because it suited the topic. This topic is about Chrono Trigger for DS and thats what I chose my title as. If you get your hopes up, it's your own fault! |

I'd definently do some crazy stuff to get a DS as fast as I could if there really were released emulators and stuff for it, without hesitation.
A friend of mine has an NES emulator for his Palm Pilot, it's pretty cool. But emulators for the DS? Totally awesome. =D
I'd still rather see a Seiken Densetsu 3 port though, even over FF3j.
(Note: Not over the emulators, if emulators were out ... well then it would be obvious that I could play both of those.) |

Well, with Temporal Flux released in the rom hacking forum, and the possiblity of a SNES emulator for the DS (It's more than possible for perfect snes emulation, the GBA came close), the idea of Chrono Trigger, or any of the hacks being on it is totally possible in the future.
I just played the DS for the first time today, and it has to be the coolest thing ever!
The idea of playing an SNES, NES, Gameboy, etc game on it would just make me...EXPLODE with happiness...
Besides, Square seems to be warming up to Nintendo here lately, so an actual CT type game for the DS isn't all that far fetched. Like I said though, if not, then emulation may just be the answer. |
