Not to mention i just reformatted everything on my computer after my drive went bad... I cannot seam to get vs6.0 and vs.net to work at the same time so thats another reason i plan to port it to C++ instead of the .net framework... And the usability for people without the framework though that shouldnt matter soon enough. I might even write it in visual basic depends what happens lol. As of right now my system is pretty hectic *goes to look for ATI drivers*

All managed code requires the .NET Framework, despite what language it is written in. As for standards, C# has been one for awhile now.

Nice editor! I hope you can decompress the graphics enough so that we can see what we are editing. It looks very promising.

I now know both too late for that :-P plus im writing a game in Direct X so
I'll just keep on C++'n it :-P
Also, depending on how much I get into my direct X, the editor might get delayed a bit but maybe by then i will have even more data . So its a win win!
btw: Im confused at how i capitalize the i in zIp...

If you are going to have to learn Visual C++ to do it, I would recommend you convert to C# instead. C# is better for managed code anyway and it is closer to VB than VC++ is.

But if you already know VC++, ignore my comments.
