New Year's is here. I take it that no more nominations will be accepted. In that case I will wait until the voting thread begins.

*waits eagerly*

I nominate Dragoon X Omega for best classic hack. It's a complete DW1 hack.

I'd nominate my hack, but not until I have something to show... which'll hopefully be some time before Sunday.

Yeah, I nominate Frank15's SMB3 Hack. It's an awsome hack too. He completed it on August 5, 2004.

There's no nominations about it, it IS the best hacking utility (i.e. I second that nomination ).

Even though there isn't a category for this, I feel this person deserves it.

I nominate Dr. Mario for Best Graphics Artist.

I'm just noticing that nobody has nominated either Kyoufu Kawa or Elitemap. So, I nominate them both for most innovative hacker and best ROM editor.

I know pokemon isn't the most fashionable thing to hack, but he has released a lot of editors within the Elitemap package this year (hence it's nomination), and he's done some funky stuff like the Rubikon scripting language. (Maybe I just have a fascination with scripting languages though )

WW: 1.Actualy it was up there about a few hours before that was posted because OkImplala Nominated it. 2. He wanted to be removed from most innovative hacker, he never said anything about Best Romhacker. 3. I changed the voting date to the 2nd of the new year about a week or 2 ago. 4. I wasnt tring to make a "smartass remark" I'm simply pointing out that it says 2004 Annual Hacker Awards, not 2003 or any other years. But it did give me an idea for another catigory which I'll talk about later. 5. Dicsh shall be added.

Alexa(Xk):I could do that, but why? There are alot of award things that use that format. No one really had a problem with it for the past 3 years.

Also I updated the list again and added a new catigory.

Especially since "2004" could refer to the fact that these awards are the 2004 series...

If you really wanted it to be clear it was for 2004:

"Best Hacker of 2004 Awards" (note the lack of "annual", which basically means it happens every year and may or may not be realted to the year over just happening during it)

(and intelligent reply to a smartass remark, gof igure... and from an alternate acount no less)

Read the list for the Most Promising hack for 2005 again.... And get some glasses...

You say this AFTER you edited it in .

How about removing Daiz from up there like he wanted?

I agree as well that voting shouldn't start untill january 1st, 2005.

CF, I understand that you might be reluctant to break from tradition if this is how its been for the last several years, but I ask that you seriously consider it. Something really nice could get released on Dec 31st.

Yes, I agree .

And why only ones from this year? There are other good hacks out there (Strange Mario Brothers, anyone?) that's completely done (and still fun to play)

Read title.

Your attempts at making smartass remarks failed after you clicked "Submit Reply" right here. He wants to know why they're only for this year and not other years .

Oh, and I nominate Disch as best ROM hacker.
