Yeah. I guess. But, to tell you the truth, I have a fairly good computer. Dell Inspiron 1150.

Yes, the Junk filter and the filters are very nice.
I made different folders with passwords I requested, internet transactions, ebay etc.
The system sorts out these in a very successful way - as well along with the spam filter on the web frontend (activated) even doubles that effect. I don't receive any spam mail - even the providers' ad mails get into the Junk folder immediately

I use thunderbird and it always bring home the mails in a few seconds. I don't use hotmail so that doesn't bother me. If I'm not wrong there is extensions for thunderbird to get gmail though.
I find thunderbird to be very efficent, it starts quickly, gets my mail quickly and most of all the interface is very clean. The spam system rocks too, it takes all the spam I get. It learns

well, of course outlook gets to hotmail faster.... both microsuck products ....

I haven't bothered to set up thunderbird.... since I barely use e-mail.... the provided clients in the sites work well enough for the 1 e-mail a week I send....

I find 0.9 to be pretty fast. Sometimes it takes a whole to sort messages, but on its own it wouldn't be considered a memory hog or anything.

I find it slow on my Mac, but it's okay in Windows.

Course, I am now running an older version, and I do get tons of spam, so I'm guessing neither of those help.

Hi there.

I've been looking for an alternitive for Outlook, and of course though of Mozilla. So I download ThunderBird.

But, I found it to be slow, and bulky. Do any of you have this problem? It takes it 3 minutes to get mail in it, and a miere 30 seconds in outlook.
