You probably patched it to a SMW ROM that was 1MB+.

You need to patch it to an UNMODIFIED 512kb ROM.

All signs point to him creating the patch from his hack and a modified version of SMW (Maybe he just opened it in LM then saved something accidentally, I dunno)...

first, I dont know second, i downloaded it again and it was messed so i expanded it and it was fine and ill fixthe title screen too

That's soley dependant on why people have such garbage on their hacks. If you combine a different version for the patch, you get, garba'j.

Here's a good piece of advice. Try to use as few tiles as possible unless you want it to look lame.

I think we can all agree that the title is screwed. Fix it, and re release the demo.

yeah i used zsnes to automatically 'patch' it and I got total garbage. I then used LIPS and got what Karadur got

This is what the title screen looks like for me:



That line of glitchy things is a bunch of points. Mario's just kicked an invisible shell and it's run into a bunch of invisible sprites Then it hits that block, which Yoshi comes out of, but his egg's all glitched up

I also got the garbled up title screen. Maybe we are doing something wrong...?

And that's a shot of the title screen, Vortex? Doesn't look like that for me

Even so, there are a few problems with the title screen that I saw:

1) All the point numbers that show how many points you get from jumping on an enemy or getting a coin are glitched up.

2) I can't tell exactly what sprite they are, but the floating things over the black snapper plants don't look good.

3) Extra left part of the blue pipe after you get to the set of pipes. I know the demo wouldn't work properly if that wasn't there, but replace it with a stone block or something. That'll look better

4) Also around the pipes: what's with the two rows of fives at the bottom? You can also see these if you hit start on the title screen.

5) The water. PLEASE put a top on it. Use a hill a bit back on that path to raise the land up one square, then put the top of the water where it cuts off right now.

6) Finally, why does Mario grow a tail when he starts running fast after swimming in the water?

First impression of the overworld. I like the palette

In the second level to the left of Yoshi's House. Near the end by the P-Switch, what's with the palette of those two pipes? All the rest look fine.

The castle to the right of Yoshi's House. Where's the tops of the cannons? Also, after you beat that level, there's a bit of green land that appears down on the side of the cliff

You might want to add a message box in Star Road telling the player where to go after they beat that level. I thought I was done what's completed of this hack after I beat that level.

Then I'm guessing the last playable level here's supposed to be Donut Plains 4? I beat it and it sent me up just above that level, but when I tried to enter it, I got the bonus game.

Ok theres many problems with your hack. First off the levels are just changed levels from the original. Maybe this is how you meant it to be, but its kind of anoying. Second theres a lot of gfx problems throughout. Third you title screen doesnt even show up properly, its just a bunch of garbage gfx for the most part.

On the bright side some of the other gfx is good....

I say create original maps and fix some of the gfx problems.

erm..., yes he actully does look fatter..., and im pretty darn sure that was the SMB3 mario... not sure scince SMAS has many marios...
