That's your first problem. As for the editing/copying, turn off your VB crap, and try again. Otherwise, do a virus and spyware check (it's XP, so of course I'll suggest this.)
But as neo said, your installation might be just fried. 2k is your friend... |

your XP installlation is just wacked (as you obviously know) Something is off on the way the core runs--either it is your program that is doing it or one of the system files is off in a way. At this point, it could be anything that is causing your computer to behave the way it is.
Anyways, if you want to open multiple items in photoshop, you can just load up photoshop, go into the open screen and just select all the files you want to open and open them all at once. I believe you need hold control as you select them to get them entered into the open dialog |

I've been having this problem with WinXP Pro for a while now, but I just recently found a really annoying side effect. If I press the Play button on my keyboard (to start/pause Winamp) with Explorer open, it displays both the Move Items and Copy Items dialogs. Annoying, but understandable, since I don't actually have the drivers for this keyboard installed. (I just have a VB program listen for the keys. ) Now, if I try to open anything in the Programs list of the Start menu by right-clicking and choosing Open or Explore, it also does that and doesn't open the folder. Now that's really annoying, but still not enough for me to really complain.
Now here's the annoying part, that I'm surprised I didn't find before. If I select several GIFs, right-click, and choose "Edit with Photoshop", guess what? No PS opening, just a frickin Move Items dialog! I can do it one at a time, but with 100+ images, that's really annoying. The option is still associated with PS in the File Extensions menu, so what gives? I'm sick of this useless dialog popping up all the time. (If I wanted to move them, I'd just drag and drop, or use DOS if really necessary. ) |
