I just remembered why I like Horatio Caine. He may have horribly cheesy lines and he's played by a horrible overactor, but.... I hate that blonde female CSI more.
I saw an ad for the first episode of CSI: New York. Scary... |

Hmm... my mum is a big fan of the CSIs, Ive only seen a few episodes myself, not my cup of tea but I see the appeal. My sister likes Cold Case too, but Im not really into crime fighting styles of show. |

Eh, I actually don't mind Horatio Caine. But they clearly try to make him "cool". A lot of lines feel like they are designed to be sound bites in the ads that preceed the show. He's portrayed very dramatically.
I don't like the blonde in CSI Miami though. At all. Horatio's frequent overdramaticism annoys me far less than the blonde. |

Does Navy NCIS even HAVE anything to do with the Navy anymore?
CSI's a decent show. But it's just WAY too reliant on special effects. Just once, I'd like to see them do a show without CGI reenactments or that KERRRRAAAAAAZY digital zoom. But Jerry Bruckheimer, as producer, is physically incapable of doing so.

I like CSI Las Vegas, but Miami and New York are both horrible. I've never actually heard of Navy, what is that about / where does it take place? |

I watch CSI, but it's repeats at the moment, so I haven't been watching. I have a low rerun threshold when it comes to a lot of things, particularly things where they unravel a mystery -- it's no fun when you already know what happens.
I also watch CSI Miami, but I do like the original better.
And on a slightly related note, i also enjoy Cold Case, which shows after CSI on Tuesday nights. And damn, I missed that tonight.

I do! I do!
And I agree, CSI: Miami isn't as good as the original, although, I've come to like it a bit more now. Navi CSI I've never heard of. It's never been broadcasted on Norwegian television, to my knowledge.
Although, since I started working night shifts now, I haven't really been able to watch it as much as I want. |

Am I the only person in the world watching this fairly obsessivly? I'm a big fan of the way they mix reality (some of the procedures to process evidence) with fiction (err, everything else? <<; ). This show has some very strong characters, and the murders commited tend to have very varied (and sometimes surprising) solutions, while keeping a decent pace to it aswell. I'm not too happy with the spin-offs, such as CSI: Miami (urk!) and Navi CSI (better than Miami, but it doesn't have Grissom ) , but we make do.
So, who else loves/hates these fine, fine series? |
