yeah if you make the middle section a table cell by itself.... and then make it a background of the table cell.. .then the table cell can shrink in 800x600...
so it would look slightly goobered in 800x600..... but it would be like normal in 1024 |

If you made all the title bar text, menus, toolbar buttons, and um tab window select button things... all of those into left-anchored background images, it could easily and realistically scale horizontally. You know what I mean? |

I guess I assumed that people use 1024x768  because most do. But alot don't,  . Better fix that  . |

dood that is friggin ultra omega mega cool....
the only objection I have...
is the fact that your static image is 769 pixels wide....
let's use some common sense for about .01 seconds...
800x600....
well you just chewed 769 of that 800 up with your image...
and you have to allow for all the data to left of your post, as well as the scrollbar for the browser on the right...
the maximum width you can put in images in a layout is 500 pixels... before it starts causing stretching in 800x600.... |

Yeah, I think I'll add something in CSS that makes the text-background color white so that it appears like that before the image loads.
The font is fixedsys, and it's the default font in mIRC... though you're using a Mac, so you probably don't have it . |

It's looking good.. you should make the default table background color white, so I can read your text before it loads. And I'm not sure yet if the green on top is distracting from your post or not.. it's possible that you just use a font I don't have.
I don't remember seeing that idea before though. |
