But there is people collecting bad dumps for some reason, and some large ROM sites do have bad dumps together with the good ones.

I did download a bad dump once, when I didn't know what the symbols did mean.

If there's no fixed dump (or if you run it through GoodGBC and it has a [!] next to it) then it's good.

Usually these days, if a dump is bad it's nuked and another one takes its place.

Are you sure that game wasn't an overdump? An overdump is an ROM image that is bigger than it should be... thoose roms are usually quite large but are still playable. (they just contains alot of zeroes or random crap at the end)

He kinda inspired me to make devolopment on Nintendo DS. (when my graduation comes, Nintendo DS is out in Sweden. )

And well, GTA is for the orginal GB too. There is a orginal GB version somewhere. Althought I hadn't heard good things about it...

It is bad, I own it, and GTA 2 for GBC.

Yeah, only pirates go above the 768k mark. Lots of people thought that DW4 was a meg but it was 512k of code and 512k of 0's, basically. It took people at least a year to figure that one out.

Kirby's Adventure = 768k
Dragon Warrior 4 = 512k (not the 1MB overdump)

But I've seen a 2MB multicart ROM, so ...

Lots of interesting things on that site, though ... Grand Theftendo looks really great for a homebrewn game, NESHLA should make NES programming a lot easier, but I also looked at the Devtendo and the NES PC2C02 video card ... I wish I could do that with my old dead NES

I don't think it would be that big, it can be big gameplay wise but small in terms of size.

I'm not expecting it to be very advanced game, but well. I love how he is trying to get around hardware limations.

I don't think they'd have a case to cease-and-desist here... Totally different angle on the remake here. Plus if they did, he could always just change a few things around and presto - new game.

...How big is this rom gonna be?

If anything, if he ever get's a cease and desist order. All he have to do is rename it.

He is making everything from scratch he says. No script or anything copied. Just the concept. And gameplay... and honestly if gameplay was copyrighted. Nintendo would be one of the biggest companies in the world, maybe bigger than Microsoft.
