Seriously though, as far as IPS patching is concerned, SNESTool didn't keep up. I used it myself, I should know. Recent patches wouldn't work when applied using SNESTool. Was I ever happy to discover LIPS... |

thats not true.
besides, it isnt full of bugs.
people just tend to dislike it because its old and dos-based.
its a powerful tool nevertheless. |

I hear SNESTool is full of bugs. With LIPS out, there's no need to use it (at least, as an IPS patching utility). |

I just searched a tutorial about how to use an IPS-patch, back then in the tutorial they used Snestool (which is DOS-based). now though I fully understand it (what's not to understand?) |

I know, but there are many dummies here too which simply don't understand anything that have with IPS to do. I have helped some people myself too. Personally, I didn't got any trouble with it when I was new with it... |

Do that, and if it still doesn't work, you'd better try another emulator (but it should work).

this is how you do it
1. get a copy of the original rom
2. get an ips patch
3. patch the ips to the rom using lunar ips
4. play it with emulator
5. have fun |

When I download a hacked ROM I can't play it with my emulator (nester) and if I change it to a nes file type it says invalid nes file |
