Damn, man . You had me fooled. All right, then is it safe to say a lot of your graphics are inspired by other games?

I'm never ripping sprites
All level gfx is made from scratch by me. And yes.
BB did make that MM sprite. And I haven touched it ever since it was done

The funny thing is, I made the Vortex sprites o.-

Although I wouls guess that Dx touched them up a bit. I might be able to do better now, since I made those a while ago...

Nice level ideas you have there, Dx. A lot of those graphics look familiar (contra, if I'm not mistaken... among other things) but it all looks good and fits together. Your graphics have an almost ghost and goblins feel to them, only less... ghetto. Ghosts and goblins defitely had a very creepy atmosphere.

Wow, Dx, the first time I saw that sprite I was like "SNES Hack? ", really amazing. You're one of, if not -the- best spriter on the scene.

The hack looks fantastic!

Unfortunately, regarding the Zophar demo, the patch doesn't, actually... well, change anything. None of the enemies on the stage select screen were blacked out and none of the levels appeared to have any changes at all...? I could still charge my megabuster, too...

I did, however, start out with Gyro Man's weapon, which was fun to play around with on its own...

As far as I know my version of Mega Man V is complete and normal...

What the devil is going on!

Either way, as far as your progress goes, congratulations -- this looks like one of the, if not the most extensive of any Mega Man hack I've ever seen. The graphics look like genuine Capcom graphics, while still looking fresh and original -- something about them looks very different from the original games, but in a good way.

The new Mega Man sprite looks like a cross between a Mega Man robot master and -- for some reason -- the original Batman game for the NES. Heheh... Something about the shading I think...

Anyhoo, I'm really excited to play the next demo once it's out (or hopefully the finished game!), best of luck to you and keep us posted.

XD
ah, zophar got the wrong ips.
I accidently made a .isp file of a hack I got before.
Anyway If you want to play the demo I'll find the working file for you in a sec.

Keep on working, I can't wait to see more, I really want to try this! I I'm sure you have been working hard with it. (by the way, what's the extra lifebar on screen 3 for?) Keep up the good work

That extralife bar is the Weaponbar for 'Rush Coil'.
Also, if anyone hasn't played my first demo then you can download it at zophars.net here:

Awesome! The only Megaman game I have for my NES is Megaman 3, and it was very fun to play. This should be just as good, if not better. I love the new Megaman graphics!

Sorry for the late update
I have been on a LONG break from romhacking and have now returned
As for those who doesnt know what MMVX is it's a MM5 hack (feuturing brand new levels, grapichs, gameplay and much more).
Anyway, I'm currently working on 3 new levels: Gold, Volcano and Jungle.
3 levels are complete though.

SCREENS:

^-Currently WIP-^

And screens for those who never got around playing my last demo:

Enjoy.
And expect a new demo by christmas!
