I think Elmo's right, it was the Comets. That was what I was taught in lessons.
Some more alternative choices: (I dont watch movies but Im fascinated about knowing about them).
Sci-Fi= Bladerunner, Tron, Labirynth (sp?). Western= The Shootist Mystery/Horror= Ginger Snaps, The Birds, Misery (not really a horror, but horrifyingly funny/disturbing) Adventure= Any of the aforementioned, though the El Mariachi trilogy is good. Foreign- Where do I begin? City of God, 400 Blows, Amelie, "Spring, Autumn, Summer, Winter... and Spring again", the Oldboy trilogy... Musicals-= Little Shop of Horrors (I did that at school), Grease, the usual. Documentry= Beyond the Mat Classics= The Old Dark House, Casablanca, Vertigo, The Seventh Seal Comedy= The Pink Panther, Scary Movie 1-3, any number of gross-out movies. Drama= Donnie Darko, Fargo, Scarface. I dont know if Drama is the best place to put these, but nothing else fits the bill. Animation= Spirited Away of course, Phantasia.
Im not sure about 'commentries' as such. |

The first Rock Album? Blimey....
if it's Rock and Roll, then you could go with Bill Haley and the Comets. Blimey how vague are they... as for my picks....
Science Fiction/Speculative - The Matrix, Brazil or 1984 Western - Unforgiven, Back to the future 3 and Feivel goes west (I HATE Westerns!) Mystery/Horror - Nightmare on Elm Street 1, Scream Adventure - Any Indiana Jones Film, The Mummy,, Foreign - Battle Royale (no contest) Classics - Psycho, Casablanca Silent Films - Nosferatu is a good one. Musicals - Singin in the Rain, Wizard of Oz or Little Shop of Horrors Documentary - Farenheit 9/11 Comedy - American Pie, The Blues Brothers, Biography - "What's Love got to do with it", "Quills", (LOL I wonder what your tutor would say if you turned in the latter!) Social Commentary - Bowling for Columbine, Rollerball (70's edition) Historial Commentary - The Great Escape, Braveheart (alright, not much commentary there...) Drama - Fight Club, Seven Animation - Spirited Away, you KNOW you want to. |

I'm not sure how it is in your school but I need to take 2 classes of Fine-Arts (Art,Band,Etc) but since I have no talent that counts as "artistic", I talked to the princpal and teacher and they told me I could take two other classes instead.
Anyways, one of the classes they picked out for me is History Of Rock Music. I need to listen to the first rock ablum and write about it. Than other stuff on it but I don't know what the first rock album was so I can't do it ;-;
What is the first rock ablum?
Ok, now the other class... I need to watch 18 films and write about each of them. Since I watched maybe 50 films in my entire life (Seriously, I don't do movies), I figured I would ask my fellow Acmlmers for suggestions.
I need to watch 1 of each of the following genres (Plus 2 more of my choice).
Science Fiction/Speculative Western Mystery/Horror Adventure Foreign Classics Silent Films Musicals Documentary Comedy Biography Social Commentary Historial Commentary Drama Animation
I don't want to sit through shit movies so suggest good ones ![](images/smilies/cute.gif) |
