BIOS passwords are entirely too easy to get rid of

But this woman forgets her login. Nearly daily. I seriously think she has a problem, and I don't think her problem is actually her memory.

And yeah, on buttons have an on symbol on or next to them. But apparently users still can't find them.

I also liked the user who "rebooted" the server -- by pulling the power cord out of the wall, and then plugging it back in again. Thankfully, X series servers are usually fairly good with that kind of abuse...

I think she is afraid of doing anything wrong too...

What kind of password do she forget? BIOS? Login?

...I wonder, the power buttons have the "on" button symbol right? (A ring which a "stick" inside )

Because calling a free number and annoying the people on the other end is quite amusing for some people. Not for me though. :O

Power Buttons in my work sites are usually large, and obviously placed. How somebody can miss one is beyond me.

I also worry about the Help Desk addict where I work who never remembers her password. I am sure she is doing it on purpose.

The main power button on the backside or the regular on the frontside? Computers usually have one at the backside too.

Check this out, most people probably knows about that story it's so old but... classical.

Hey, my grandfather is a computer freak compared to thoose then. He did assemble his computer by all himself and did find the power button. <.< The only thing we practically helped him with was replacing the BIOS battery which was discharged...

Try talking someone through the works of a scanner and why NOT to put the image you want on the monitor.

Hell with old macs you had to worry about people finding the power button in the back of the comp. That's why tech support gets old, fast. Why do you think they're never happy? :\

I am currently on the phone to a user that can't find the power button on her PC.

REALLY.

... how hard is it to find the power button?
