Well I don't just WAIT... Generally I'll bring an AVRiL and a Lightning Gun up with me so I can snipe/shoot down other Raptors.
Just today, in fact, I was dogfighting with a guy in another Raptor, and we were shooting and firing missles and all that, since we both wanted the Redeemer. And neither of us was shooting each other. So, I bailed out and shot him with an AVRiL. Funny, no? |

I'll admit that I mostly do my own thing - I don't do spawn camping or anything like that, but I perfer to go off and set up bigger stuff - I.E., wait on top of the central tower in Torlan to nab the Redeemer and wait for the enemy core to become avalible so I can kamikaze it.
Once I get the full version, I am SO modifying the Torlan map with a Leviathan on top of that tower. |

Generally, I have noticed a lack of asshats you see in the demo. It's also quite good since many people use voice chat, and it really brings a team to work perfectly.
Then again, there are some fools who lack in teamwork and go earn themselves points by camping spawns, etc. It's annoying. |

This is great. Really. UT2004 is amazing and playing with one lessFuckwad will be awesome.

Depends what "stealing" keys means. If it's something like using a hack to find out the key, sure.
If someone came up with a totally random key that somehow worked, well... |

Kudos to Epic for taking a tough stance on cheating right out of the gate. Dunno about key theft (if someone generates a lucky CD key, what's to stop them from using it?), but I hope they humiliate cheaters on a regular basis. |

Yeah, recently Joe "DrSiN" Wilcox, Epic's anti-cheats/hacks guru, posted a statement regarding UT2k4's permaban system.
Epic takes cheating and key theft very seriously. It's our plan to remove anyone caught cheating from the game -- for good.
In addition to an improved version of the cheat-stopping measures found in UT2003, UT2004 utilizes a targeted tracking and response system at the master server level that allows us to focus on those people really causing problems. Yesterday we identified and permanently banned a UT2004 player, "Zellius", for cheating.
Zellius (A long-time thorn in Epic's side, apparently) quickly replied confirming this, and showing a screenshot of the resulting error message...
PERMANENT BAN:
Your CD-KEY has been banned by the master server. This ban will remain in place until you realise your mistakes. You like playing with bots... now you only get to play with them.
I think this is where the word "Owned" is appropriate. |
