ZSNES's show/hide layer keys have no effect on emulation at all, so it would stay hidden.
You could try scrolling layer 3 off the screen by writing to $2111 or $2112 (h-offset and v-offset, respectively). The value is 16-bit, so you have to write the low byte first, high byte second. I haven't tried this, though, so I don't know if it would affect the status bar or everything below it (the game uses HDMA to split layer 3 into two parts), or not have an effect at all... |

The only thing that I could think to do is have a custom block that when touched will hide layer 3, and when touched again will act as nothing. Then just set it right overtop of mario's entrance and layer 3 will disappear. However I am not sure how this will act when you press 3 in ZSNES (the button to turn on/off layer 3. It may just do nothing.) |

Have anyone got any idea on how to hide layer 3 during a certain level (and show it again when the next level is played)? |
