Who care's if she's a little up there, makeup not only does wonders but if it is anything like the metroid game at all, she'll be in her suit 90% of the time ANYWAYS. And for being no looker...geez, looks aren't everything. Go back and watch Mortal Kombat so you can oogle over Kitana for a bit until you learn shes probably 45 now. |

Ok, here's what I think the woman has to be to play Samus:
1.) A woman 
2.) Good Figure (Star Jones is out of the question)
3.) Relatively pretty, let's say "stunning"
4.) Can make a straight face - Uma, Kristanna
So, Uma and Kristanna are like two good choices. But, since Kristanna is better looking, she wins. And since she wins, I win. |

Samus weighs 198lb, although that might include her suit.
As for asians being hotter, I don't agree personally. That's an opinion thing. The simple fact is that Samus is a blonde, relatively white woman. If you ask me she should be portrayed as such. Zhang doesn't even look like an asian version of Samus. She looks too young. And her voice is too high-pitched.
She was great in CTHD, but playing Samus? No. |

No kiddin'. I can't imagine her weighing a meager 110lbs., as the said profile mentions...this is a battle-hardened woman who might be able to drop me with a reverse punch.
Samus is also portrayed with the kind of curves that not many women have...an actual hour-glass figure.
As far as race of the actress goes...that is of little consequence to me. |

No famous celebrity actress should play Samus. None of them. We should find a woman who actually looks like her and can act well. Famous actresses aren't the only actresses out there, you know. O.o''
You also have to remember that Samus doesn't have an 'attitude'. You don't see her muttering one-liners while blasting Ridley to pieces, do you? Sheesh. She's professional.
EDIT: Sigourney Weaver would be the only famous actress who could portray Samus correctly... As Samus was pretty much BASED on her (the Metroid series was loosely based on the Alien series, after all). At least in her behavior and demeanour, rather than her looks. |
