I use WMP strictly for video viewing, which itself is rare for me. Been using Winamp for everything else since 2.8.
Why the hell do they have to completely butcher WMP's interface with every new release, though?  |

ah i use wmp for videos ... it works better than winamp... and my winamp3 is pretty slow so im thinking of either going to 5 or trying 2 again.... since i dont use the fancy features anyhow... |

I hate WMP. With the amount of songs that I have that it needs to load, and because my computer is so slow, I have to use a program that uses very little system resources. This is also why I can't use Winamp, it loads to slow and skips on my computer . I prefer using Foobar2000, its really quick and doesn't skip when it plays. |

Winamp 2 is the best. Winamp 3 just sucked and I haven't tried Winamp 5 but it appears to be a WMP clone... The simpler the program the better it is. Which is also another reason why I haven't updated AIM to 5.9 and still using 5.2...
but anyways, WMP10 has more features than I'll ever use so I don't think I'll use until it is in the next Windows OS i use. |

Winamp 3 was a disaster.
Winamp 5 is written on top of the Winamp 2 (much more stable) codebase. Winamp 3 turned into wasabi.player (open source).
I won't ever get WMP... it's horrible. I prefer XMMS/MPlayer. |

Haven't got it, and probably won't. Never liked windows media player particularly.
I hear that DRM is more fully integrated in this version. Because, y'know... we can't be allowed to do what we like with our music and all.... |
