Visually, it's stunning, but it doesn't draw you in very well.

It'd have a good story, if they made the viewer involved a little more. Instead, you feel like you're watching a rather disjointed set of events from a distance.

It is a beautiful, beautiful film, and I'm guessing if you're Japanese, it'd make a lot more sense....

But I never felt drawn into it, I didn't relate to the characters, and at the end, I was left with a "huh?" feeling.

But the art was so beautiful.

I've yet to hear anything good about it. IG puts out eyecandy, that's for sure. Blood: The Last Vampire was probably the movie that got me into anime again. Seriously, crappy movie, but with such lucious visuals that even my mom and sister enjoy watching it.

But, when I picked it out because it looked a tad like Ruroni Kenshin, or a I like to put it, a poor man's Ruroni Kenshin the store owner told me not to buy it. Not because it was reserved, or broken...But because it was shit. I'm going to download it to see if it is as bad as everyone says...I also generally trust Anime Academy when it comes to reviews. And they don't seem to like it

Wow... very interesting anime.

Has anybody else seen Kai Doh Maru ?

It's by Production IG, the guys who did the animation in Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Blood: The Last Vampire and it's pretty interesting.

Course, I think I shall have to watch it again, as I didn't quite understand everything, but the animation is gorgeous, as is most Production IG stuff...

Anybody else seen it? Your thoughts?
