The preview I read stated that said "feature" was taken out now. But apparently it's faster to level up as well since the exploits are all gone.

Hm, really? I thought you could do that, just not use the select-cancel glitch.

Then again, both games are now a lot easier than ever. The new dungeons, however, are hard.

If you like 16-bit games, you could get the remakes of FF1/2.

And get Mario and Luigi. It's one of the best RPG's I've ever played.

FF1/2 sounds good. Just one thing: Is 2 FF2 NES or FF2 SNES, because there IS a difference.

And yes. When I get enough money again, I will get Mario & Luigi.

Got Sword Of Mana and it's awesome! ^^

Its been six days since youve had that game, and i bet you hate it by now

you should try the new boktai during the spring though.

Well, odds are MOST people who buy a DS will have a GBA or a GBC. So they can simply hold onto that system in case they want to play their old games.

For newer gamers though, they might as well sell their GBA unless they need to link.

Hmm, well I guess a FF on the road would be nice. Still, not too sure about FFII ... FFI is surely a good game.

I recently played some of the Megaman Zero games, badass if you like sidescrolling action games.

More recommendations Metroid Zero Mission, Four Swords, etc ...

Colin: That sucks. Oh well the only game I really liked for the original GB/GBC was Links Awakening.

...2 systems in 1. GBA/DS compatibility, yes, but there's no GB/GBC compatibility.

FF1/2 only comes out... erm... on my birthday. Yes. 11/29.

Don't get anything ...

Save your 70$ you would be spending on games and your 80$ you would be spending on the SP ...

Why?

The DS comes out next month.

Simple as that.

I. Dont. Care. Stop telling me about the DS. I'll get it when it's cheap.

1. It's playback with the GBA. 3 Systems in 1.

I'd reccomend anything that isn't mary+kate and ashley.

Have you played it and given it a chance? Sure I'm as sick of DBZ as any other guy. Over 300 eps is kind of long, repatative, and just a way of making money (and that's not even counting GT), but this game is pretty cool. Maybe it's just because I like real-time RPGs more than any other type of game in the world. ^^. Gonna try again and take another look around for Sword Of Mana.

I looked for Sword Of Mana, but it wasnt there, so I just got a GBA and one game: DBZ: Buu's Fury and I must say that it's entertaining. I love real-time rpgs, so this is great. Anyone know of any other good real-time rpgs?

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is pretty good, in my opinion, and quite different from other Final Fantasy games too, from what I can see. It's got a generally "lighter" storyline, and it's just pretty cute, really.

Wario Ware is good. Very silly though. Lots of minigames, keeps me very amused on the bus. Get this one if you just want something you can play as little as a few minutes of -- this is great for cramming into small pockets of time.

If you don't have them already, get Phantasy Star Collection. It's the best of old-school RPGs.

Fire Emblem is beautiful. And no, it's nothing like Advance Wars. Advance Wars is about building an army and overpowering the enemy as he is building an army, Fire Emblem is about using your army to beat down the opponents army.

Basically, the difference is that in Advance Wars, everybody will be building new troops constantly, while in FE it's two troops simply duking it out. Which I greatly prefer.

Buu's Fury isn't a bad game. Sure, it's not OMG teh most inofative gmae evz0r lolz, but it's a decent little hack-and-slash game (or punch-and-blow-holes-in in this case). It's better than those Lord of the Rings games too. All of them.

The Mega Man Battle Network series is a great little strategy-action-RPG-hybrid thing you definitly have to check out, and the Mega Man Zero series is very good old-school Mega Man action (yeah, okay, it's more like X than classic MM, but whatever. It's good, and it's nowhere near as hard as people say. The first one was disappointingly easy.)

Oh, and there's always the next-generation Pokemon games, which is more of the same, just even MORE complicated. You think your level 100 Salamence is identical to another level 100 Salamence in your state? Well, he most likely isn't. Unless you've been studying guides and graphs and know exactly what you're doing, he's most likely different from all the other Salamences in the entire country.
And he'll most likely get his ass kicked by half of them too, even if their level is lower.

Then there's the Golden Sun series, which is decent, but way too hyped. Breath of Fire 2 is better, and probably cheaper too.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
