i may try it when blitzmax is realesed(with OOP and linux support). one of my friends is creating a real time strategy game with blitzbasic, and it looks good. but i'm not interested in windo*s so i'm using my good ol' c compiler for making games. i've also used python for making games and it was a good experience. |

Blitz Basic is a programming language made in C that combines the best from C with the best from Basic. Very easy to learn and use, thanks to the great documentation. I don't think that there's any free versions around... I found my copy on a CD that came with a computer magazine. You can buy it at blitzbasic.com. IIRC, Blitz Plus (Mainly designed for programs) costs $60 and Blitz 3D (Mainly designed for 3D games, duh) costs $100. |

Everything I program is made in Blitz Basic. (Soooo much easier than learning C.) By the way, it's not just a game creation tool, it's so much more. |

I just wondered if anyone here has actually used Blitz Basic to make anything. |
