The one knock I have against PS2 is its absurdly bad translation. If you thought the earlier FFs were bad...Geez, PS2 approaches Faxanadu-level bad.
If you can actually make sense of the story, though, it's great, particularly the ending.
FUN FACT: The game originally came with a hint book that had maps of every dungeon in the game. Pretty much a required resource. |

Phantasy Star 4 and 2 are my favorites. End of the Millenium is just... the shit. The story isn't absurdly long (as in ff7). Infact, the legnth of the story is pretty much perfect. This game would make a better anime movie than a game (not that I'm complaining... but DAMN, seeing that as a movie would rock so hardcore).
Phantasy Star 2 is awesome, even if it's a little harder. The dungeons in this game are very confusing. They are so big and maze-like its easy to get lost. You'll garunteeably spend at least half of the game wondering where the fuck you are in it. The story isn't bad, either. Good memories of that game. |

I have both the orginal Phantasy Star 1 and 4 on my Sega  .
PS4 is super cool, must have played it like a thousand times by now .
PS1 is awesome too, cooler than PS4 but harder and takes longer to finish IMO.
Those old RPG's kinda rock  .
I also downloaded PS2 and PS3 but never began to play it so far  . |

It was a pretty good game, though alas it's one of many on my "played through to the very end but never actually beat" list, which includes amongst others Paladin's Quest, Final Fantasy IX and X-2.
So yeah. I had fun with it, though I prefer the first two in the series. |

Anyone like this game too? I just got addicted to it again. Playing it on my second computer that's got 166MHz... It's so much fun! Anyone else think this game totally rocks? |
