Alright.. I beat the first couple worlds. I don't really plan on playing anymore.. it's not a very good hack. The level design is bland, there are lots of graphics problems, etc...
But what I do give you credit for is probably having the most original "plot" for a hack I've ever seen that actually worked. The Dr. Mario thing worked very well, and it was fun to go "inside" patients or whatever, even if it looked like a bad acid trip. It was a good idea, and so the hack was engaging, but the gameply itself simply wasn't very good. A nice effort, though. A couple more notes:
1. Don't use so many old levels. We've already seen them, we don't need to see them again.
2. Don't make yellow-dot levels with two exits. That's just not right, man. |

The Doc's sprite is GODLY. The only problems are the odd-colored rain and 1-tile tall pipes in the second shot, and the overworld in the fourth shot. Besides that, it looks great!
EDIT: When I try to play it, it messes up. |

That's not his fault, that's the original palette, he used the set from the ExGFX workshop, if you don't use a custom palette with that you get a pink cannon.

Pretty nice. However, writing DR in the same font as "MARIO WORLD" would be a good idea.
Petty nice. However, you should have given Mario black outlines and put the rain on Layer 2.
Toad's palette is... Wierd...

I remember that in some site I downloaded a Dr.Mario World. Do you have already maked an another Dr.Mario world? Anyway, by the screenshots, that hack looks like cool! |
