i like how mario has a really HUGE nose in that game... and the wierd mario-physics  .... but the music is absolutly eerily .... horrible |

It is a SMW pirate... very cool to see on the NES, but nothing beats the SNES. The music is bad, though... really bad...
I like the Koopa graphics, though... |

despite the fact that it may be a shitty knock-off, it's got to take some degree of skill to make a game like that. dan am hurting the pirates feelings 
i haven't played this particular parite, but when you get to the point of major game engine modification, it's almost easier to start from scratch.. maybe borrow a few routines here and there, save which RAM addresses are mapped to which functions and such. but it still requires very intimate knowledge in the game you're working with..
or so i would guess.. |

Ooh, I have the ROM of that game. (no i'm not giving it to anyone)
It's bad, yes it is... it have very wierd phyics which make it hard to play. And it's pretty much the same levels as in the orginal SMW.
And there is no save option, I have played halfways throug the game and have a savestate of that. But couldn't bother going more far...
Still it's intresting seeing a SNES game getting "remade" into a NES game as keeping as much graphics as possible.  |

There's several strange pirates... there was a Donkey Kong Country 2 one that actually wasn't *terrible* - but it only had 3 levels. I pity whoever spent $50 on that.

Yup...that's the pirate ROM for the NES all right.
I should try looking into whoever did the Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Final pirate to the NES...weirdest music on the NSF that I have (#8 being Ryu's theme from Steet Fighter 2)...but the game on the SNES was really good (and probably underrated for as many people have seen it). |

I was searching for a SMB1 ROM and on the website I got it I find this ROM,
I played it and Yoshi works and everything, is this some sort of Leaked NES Beta or A Hack of something?     And sorry if this belongs somewhere else but I don't think this is about ROM hacking more than just emulation. |
