Not only Final Fantasy VI, but Yoshi's Island has the same problem.
From using this, I have yet to see bugs. Although this isn't a bug, but I would like a key that the user could set to start/end tracing. That way, it would be easier to get something precisely... |

When loading Super Mario RPG it either adequately displays the ROM information or the message 'Unknown DMA Transfer Mode: 255 on Channel 1'...either way the game fails to run. |

What do you mean exactly? List the address next to the return instruction or something?

As I have said with everything else I have written, if you do not like the program, do not use it. While I am happy to take bug reports, I do not much care to listen to complaining.

Yeah, here's a bug report: The "Open ROM" dialog thing does not save the last opened directory when the emulator is closed. It's terribly annoying to the point that I don't even want to use the thing. |

I would guess this problem is related to the Final Fantasy VI Mode 7 issues.
i had problems when trying to enable trace before loading a rom (always auto switches off after a sec)
The tracing logic shuts off current tracing when it detects a new game loading. This is to keep logs of Chrono Trigger from being appended to logs of Zombies Ate My Neighbors and as such. I will need to modify this logic somehow, perhaps to detect whether the app is currently emulating anything or not.
i also liked the old way of constantly overwriting one script file better than the new 0000.log, 0001.log etc
This is supposed to allow one to make multiple captures in a single session.

maybe this is known already, but i had LOTS of color palette problems, especially with super fx games. check starfox 2 and winter gold fx. doesnt happen with the regular build. no crashes so far.
i had problems when trying to enable trace before loading a rom (always auto switches off after a sec) wich makes it hard to observe the bootup process, this worked fine with an older revision.
suggestion: reenable the nmi and irq logging. maybe counting them and then writing something like
NMI (x56)
would look better. the main reason for this is that the nmis give you a feeling for the time passed and its easier to seperate chunks of routines into logical groups with them, at least for me.
i also liked the old way of constantly overwriting one script file better than the new 0000.log, 0001.log etc, but maybe thats just me.

Ok ok I'm sorry I had to make a joke, but this has to stop. Elixir look at the very first post of the thread. NO REQUESTS. That means you only talk about PROBLEMS in this thread. NOT STUFF YOU WANT CHANGED/ADDED IN. |

Derailed the thread no doubt.
Back to seriousness. Please report any bugs.
I cannot fix them if you do not report them.

NO...please.... I do this enough on my own without the help of any program.
I've only tried tracing Super Mario World and Chrono Trigger ( I only have like...3 roms currently... time to ...go on a downloading spree...) . If I had come across an error, I would have told you about it. It traces CT perfectly well for my liking if that helps any
If I must request a bug however, I'd like it to mistakenly connect to my printer and accidentaly start printing $20 dollar bills perfectly. Cause that would suck. Alot.

i would use better descriptions of the breakpoints in the tracer
Erm, what are you referring to? Trace From and To?
I would like to request a bug that destroys my entire registry and hard drive, and hacks into my internet accounts and deletes all my files there too. Too much trouble?
I could probably destroy your hard drive, but hacking into your internet accounts might be a wee bit difficult. And I do not think the FBI would look too kindly on it either.

Generated from this thread.
Please report any bugs you have seen with PST Mark 8.
Currently known bugs: - Final Fantasy VI has Mode 7 issues. Lightning clouds, snow storm, etc. - Some games have palette problems (Starfox 2) - Tracing logic flawed, cannot trace from start - Open ROM does not always save last used directory - Super Mario RPG displays the message 'Unknown DMA Transfer Mode: 255 on Channel 1' and fails to run.
Reported bugs will be fixed for Mark 9 (release date unknown).
No requests please. I pretty well know what those are and what I will be working on next.
