Uhmm...my first irreparable motherboard damage was caused when I plugged in a keyboard at the POST screen. Lots of beeping, much panicking, and a dead keyboard controller followed.
At least we got a new computer out of that little incident...the good ol' 386DX-40, IIRC. 'Twas a good computer. |

USB keyboards are so useful. Once my neighberhoods had to loan a keyboard and he could loan my USB keyboard for half a hour. When I got the keyboard back I didn't even need to restart.
As HH said, it's generic. That message is probably made up by two parts, whenever there is a error it shows what error it is and then always show "Press F1 to contiune" whatever the problem is. (unless it's a problem that is very serious, then the computer just beep like crazy ) |

my computer on my bedroom had that a couple of times, I could just plug in a PS/2 keyboard and be done with it. (think my BIOS totally supports that type of keyboard) |

HH: I never saw the Win95 thing... probably because I've never not had enough free space in Win95...
The keyboard thing... yeah You can't plug in a PS/2 keyboard at that moment, but some BIOSes support USB keyboards (mine does), so that's sensible. On another note, my BIOS key is DELETE |

It's generic. Error: [whatever's wrong]. Press F1 to continue. It is funny, though.
I'd like to know what's up with Win95's "Cannot delete: not enough free disk space" message. |

Keyboard not found. Press F1 to continue. What's up with that? Really! It makes no freaking sense. You think some eight year old would have figured it out by now! |
