It's working fine now, something wrong with the patcher for me was causing my comp to crash.
I'm level 10 and nearly have enough points to become a warrior... Is there any area that I can level up fast without getting instantly killed off by 24 angry mushrooms? |

I have over 22 days of play time on 11, I am sure it is ok if I take a break, but still play it over 5 hours a day   |

Yeah, the EXP sharing system is a bit strange... Doesn't make sense to be able to KS and get the bulk of the EXP. Basically it's divided according to damage dealt, so...

HELP! Maple Story isnt working anymore. Whenever I double click on the icon the computer loads for about half a second then does nothing. I've tried reinstalling it but that didn't help... what should i do??? |

Kill stealers make me really really really really mad... I might have something down to one hit and some high level archer does 100 damage and I get one exp...
The game is fun though, I have found myself playing FF11 less and Maple Story more . |

People who just hold Ctrl for a very long time (while away from the game) are even funner, loot from them while they keep hitting the wall
I've seen a lot of kill stealing too, but it's pretty hard to avoid with the high amount of people, especially when enemies get in the way (can't jump over them, have to kill steal to get past them) ... I try to avoid it when I can but I end up doing it too 
I got to Level 20 yesterday, even my sisters joined in (by themselves, after watching me play ) ... things go slow but this is as addicting as GunBound and Ragnarok Online  |

Good to see I'm not the only one who does that! xD One of my favorite places is one screen west of the Mage village. TONS and TONS of Green Slimes! And at 10 XP each, it adds up quickly, too.
And teleport? I didn't know you could... |

Yeah, I don't mind it much, say, right to the west of Perion. People need to get through there quickly, so I don't mind teaming up there. If you want to fight, teleport to the top of the map.
I like it when people kill a bunch of monsters then just leave the map, and 5 minutes later you're all alone with some coins/items just lying around. Nice way to make 100 gold out of nowhere if they can't be bothered. |

The monster spawn rate is based on the number of people, and all tha idiots will just sit right outside of town, so those areas get nuts. It's not so bad around Kerning and Perion, though.
I'm a level 15 mage named Tolmar. Well, level 14, but I need to kill four mushrooms or something and I'll be at 15. |

How could you miss them? Although, to be honest, I don't care about it happening on the maps right outside of towns, since those ALWAYS seem to be flooded with monsters that respawn almost the instant you kill them...  I generally just try to run though there as fast as I can...
And they need to put benches out in the fields so you can sit somewhere other than town... |

But if I didn't have the latest patches... the game likely wouldn't run.
I'll take patches over frequent client downloads anyday.
And I see you noticed the KS population as well. |

Colin: Just because you got the latest patches doesn't mean you have all the features. Sometimes it's better to just download the newest client, and forgo patching.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Gawds this game is FULL of MORONS! They KS, they loot, they can't spell, they beg... FUCK!
At this point, I really, REALLY think this game would have been better as a game you download to your PC and play offline, but with limited online capabilities, like Baldur's Gate. I CONSTANTLY find myself wishing for a private server! xD

Yeah but you have the range as an advantage.
Compared to a Swordsman, who has to get close and will take the odd hit in a mob, and those do add up. |
