What is the attraction in porting SMB3 to the SMW engine and vice versa? If anyone wants this, they need to make an editor for SMA4, then you'd have exactly that.

In SMA4, that plant does not shoot fire, its just a regular old pirahna plant. But in the SMAS and the classic SMB3 versions that one is a venus fire trap.

He did make that level from scratch, the colored blocks are in slightly different places than the Demo World's and although that does not mean that he did not copy it from DW, I still do not believe he did.

I have about 27 levels copied from the old SMB3. 5-3 will be hard though...

And where did he steal that level from? No, not from SM Allstars, from Fusoya's demo world. Credit Fusoya for putting that level together, not orynider.

I don't see what is the problem, the extra thinks can be remouved to make the level 100% compatible with smb3 level 1.
The only think that is not as in smb3 is the bg top.

I played the level and is 80% smb3 in hes new hack! Just the palette is mario wordish and some stoff at the end of the level.

I am going to use the blocktool's gfx change block, where when you step on it/pass through (depending on the acts like box) will give you a certain item and change into the next block in the map16 page. Then at the right of the mushroom house will have the door. I'm not going to use the mushroom door though...

The only things I won't be able to do is the doomship intro, the bosses, the n-card, and the slide card bonus. I am trying to do the overworld now.......

I am going to make 2 versions, one with the NES gfx (using better colors) and one with the SNES gfx.

If sombady will make this, I can donate the first smb3 level (from my hack) with exgfx etc. I think it's hard to make the ow exactly as smb3!

Thank you. You gave me a good idea. I was thinking about use toad too, but I will use him as a object put it the closest as possible to the mushroom's wall and design a level starting by it. And nice you've mentioned in FuSoYa. Be honest, and your soul will be clean.

I was thinking in make the mushroom houses by the levels, the only problem will by the graphics of the outside part of the mushrooms.

Ya, I know it uses four layers, but I was talking about the overworld, not levels them selves. Altho I think the OW uses 3-4 layers also. It would be 100% impossible to make a "clone" of YI to SMW. First off, all the ASM needed would be impossible.

SMB3:

And someone mentioned the mushroom houses. I think it would be perfectly possible to do these. The graphics would be easy enough, just not doing the item that flys from the box to the storage list. The chests would be easy enough to do (well maby not easy, but not very hard). Since SMB3 doesn't use the switch palaces, just replace the switches with chests. Then make it so you can walk through them. Now asm a block to act as exiting a level when standing on/infront of it and pressing up. It could also act as an on off switch also triggering the chest to open.

Actually, it uses all 4 layers. The first two are used in all areas, the third is used in some areas, and the fourth is only used in the room before Baby Bowser (I think that's where it's only used).
