When I try to make non-Hoenn pokemon appear as wild pokemon in the grass the game freezes, I just entered the National Pokedex gameshark code because I wanted to see if it would work. Obviously it did not. |

Enter it as a cheat in VBA and it'll show the address and value for you. |

I can confirm this, I also want to say that trading, say Bulbasaur, from FR/LG to Ruby/Saphire and then to another Ruby/Saphire does not give the second Ruby/Saphire the national dex. Hope it helps somewhat  .
If that is the case then an in-game trade won't work because it means to me that it picks up on the version that the pokemon is being traded from aswell as the pokemon being traded. |

I've heard that you get the National Dex when you trade for a pokemon not in the hoenn dex (with fire red/leaf green). So would it work if you added an in-game trade with sombody for somthing like Bulbasaur. |
