Ok, thanks. I just have a star covered up, so it doesn't really matter. Some parts also look weird because event tiles are directly against the boarder resulting in the ugly double black line thing.... Guess I will just have to change my overworld a bit.

in my experience the submaps get like 16 or 32 pixels on each side/border covered up. the main/big overworld doesnt though. just sorta have to remember that when messin with the submaps. I should get back to hacking, I have most of my overworld complete....just havt started on the levels/gfx

That would probably not help. All I found was the location of the tiles the shadow uses, and the location of one or two of those mushroom/star/flower symbols. However, the neccesary data might be in the same area, so you can post it anyway. (I can't, since I somehow lost that file. Gotta check my old computer later)

Submaps don't scroll...

Hmm... I don't think you should attempt to do that... maybe cut the border a little, but not completly, as it will... well, collide with another submap. I have the data for the border that Smallhacker posted. I have to find it. When I do, I will post it here.

I don't think it'd be too difficult if we can just find the data for the boarder. However, there'd still be one small problem. Goto the edge of the main overworld in any hack, then disable layer 3 (or something). Notice how you see the other side of the overworld? A possible workaround would to design the overworld so one side of the world connects to the next, but there'd still be the issue of scrolling...

I can't see what's being covered up

a) wouldn't the screen just scroll?

b) re-do it

I have a new overworld, submaps etc, and some of them have levels that are being covered up by the peach boarder (mine is green). This is what it looks like at first:

And this is what I want it to look like. Would any one have a clue as to how I could achive this? I know it involves some ASM, but what do I need to change to make something like this?

Also, this is bowsers world, what do you think?
