All I can say about ASM hacking is that you had better have a damn good idea of what you're doing. You will inevitably break something and have to go back and figure out what screwed up. As far as hacking guides go, I know of none beyond Rockmans'.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn ASM, in particular the opcodes for each instruction, and open up the rom in a hex editor. See what the game does, figure out how it works. Go from there. Also read a lot about the particulars of your system. A knowledge of Snes rom hacking would be incomplete without knowledge of the NMI interrupt, for example.

hey ive been interested in learning some techniques for 6502 asm hacking and pointer editing and such with expansion so i was wondering if anyone who has done it has wrote a guide or tutorial that maybe follows through an example asm hack *more so than just changing one lda or any snes asm hacking guides or help would be nice too
