As I ALWAYS say; why buy any metal slug game when you can download all of them? (1-5, X)
One game that I desperately want, if I can get my PC upgraded, is Star Wars: Battlefront. It comes out tomorrow and its gonna kick ass. It's like totally living star wars battles. |

(gasp) That take back! Anyway, it's best to get Tales of Symphonia (NGC) or Pokemon FireRed (GBA). Either that, or wait for Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2) and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA) to come out. You should play KH:COM first before KH2. |

While I agree with what everyone else is saying, especially Grey, I'd like to add Beyond Good and Evil, which is availible for all three major consoles and PC. It's kinda short, and it's not an RPG, but it's excellent. And even though you said you aren't worried about money, BG&E's price is only $20 most places.
Also, for a mixture of old-school beat 'em up and RPG, look into River City Ransom EX for the GBA. It's a remake of the NES classic River City Ransom which even manages to surpass the original. |

Wait for it. Trust Me.
Seriously. If you're a fan of the genre, you'll probably like it. Not to mention all the extras they're throwing in this time around...
Of notable interest is the new Konquest Mode, which many observers have called "A MK RPG"> Maybe... |

Additionally, pull for La Pucelle: Tactics. It's because of Disgaea that we got La Pucelle. Trust me...if you're all for strat RPGs...then this will be an extensive time suck. |

RPGs? Final Fantasy Tactics, it's an oldie but a goodie. Also worth looking at is Kingdom Hearts, Megaman Battle Network, and definitely Tales of Symphonia, that game's genius.
As for other stuff, I'd highly recommend Viewtiful Joe for either GC or PS2, but I'm betting there's a good chance you already have it, along with several other games I've mentioned.
The .hack games (PS2) are pretty good for lightweight RPGs, and you said you have a lot of money, so you might wanna give them a try. The action's kinda basic, but the story's excellent.
If you have an Xbox, Morrowind's a good alternative to Fable for a nice, open-ended RPG. Personally I like completing the main quest then going on a mission to eradicate every single NPC in the game. It's.... interesting, to say the least. |

Tales of a Symphonia if you want a good game cube game. I am not to sure about the other consoles, unless you like Ogre Battle for the 64. |

I'm looking for people who are very knowledgeable on the subject to tell me what the best investment is and why. Money is not an issue, i have plenty enough for any game out there. I have an X-box, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Gameboy advance SP, SNES, and N64, so whether or not I can play the game shouldn't be an issue either. I'm basically looking for something i can pick up from a local store, not anything overseas.
I'm looking to find a good RPG first off, let's hear everyone's opinions on that. |
