Anyway, if you get pissed at a simple critique such as that, then you're never going to make it. There have been several bands, some of the greatest ever, that have been booed to the depths of hell in their early days. That, and had a bunch of shit thrown at them. Be prepared to take harsh criticism about anything and everything you and your band do.
No matter how talented you become, and no matter how good your band gets, you're always going to have people who fucking hate you.
Anyway, can we expect a demo? |

As a major satirist in the local music scene, I can give you tips on naming your band.
1. No mainstream names...Like what wite said.
2. Names based around other bands names should be reserved for parody bands and cover bands.
3. Originality counts. Name it after a chemical, or a god from some random mythology...Whatever fits the cake.
4. A great name can use someone in the band's name, i.e "Zach and the Insane Rapists".
5. It can never be too short, but easily too long.
6. Keep it in a real language that you SPEAK. Not know off handedly and randomly, speak.
7. If you suck at making music, don't have a band  |

Sorry man, I'd have to agree with wite. Even if you weren't thinking of Slayer when you came up with it, it doesn't sound original when you consider that Slayer is the name of a fairly popular band. The Slayer Clan sounds derivative at best. Try changing Slayer to , like, Slain or something. "The Slain". "Slayride." "Slaybodon Milosevich"
Ok the last two were not really serious suggestsions, but you need to get "Slayer" out of the name if you don't want to be associated with Slayer. |

Depends. Did you actually think you could get away with calling a band "Slayer Clan"? Unless you're a Slayer cover band, you'd get some pretty negative response from that. |

"Slayer Clan" has a slight resemblance to the popular early Thrash (and recently nu-metal) band "Slayer", so I wouldn't suggest using it. |
