I'm guessing you never figured out how to get off the "Light" difficulty

You're giving him that much credit? I would've said Beginner...

Im going off to the arcade on friday with a couple girls. I've never played with them before, but one of them says she is pretty good on light. She's only played several times in one night, and she still bring sher feet back to the middle once in a while. Time to show her how its done. And the other one, she says she has trouble on beginner, but I really doubt it. She cant be as bad as she says, its impossible. And im starting to get a hang of standard. Havent got a C or a D in many a song.

[whistles] Easy Havoks. We both know who's better and who's opinion is more valid.

...oh yea... .59 is great...anything by dj TAKA in my opinion is usually something worth dancing to. And I think on .59 I have a AA at 65 mill...in or around there...and if I load statistics in SM 3.9a14 it takes forever so...no specific stats for you.

Hmm...what else...KAKUMEI and Leading Cyber are two good ones by him IMO. Just wish I frequented an arcade more often.

Yasu has AAA'd most of the extreme machine song list (who cares?), and I haven't used the bar since early February. Not like you'd be doing better than me if you used the bar anyways. Or that I'd do worse than you without the bar. shrugs, I don't mind the comment about me not being that great (since I'm not), but mentioning the bar hugging like it's taboo to do so is stupid and retarded. stop being stupid and retarded, mr oh-look-at-me-i-go-to-a-ddr-forum-and-im-influenced-by-how-everyone-says-bar-raping-is-bad-even-though-people-who-do-it-usually-rape-me-too

I tried Stepmania a little bit, and that's about as far as it went for me ... I'm not that bad but don't pass songs on Heavy with AA's and such either All I have is Legend of Max, and I can almost pass it on Standard with the default settings ...

My cousin seems to be more into it, though, he got a pretty decent amount of songs (in Stepmania), he's fairly good and he's even planning to get a real pad

What's DDR?

DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution.

It is the arcade game that had four arrows on a platform. On the screen, there will be arrows that scroll up from the bottom of the screen and you hit the correct ones.

You know those arcades where people dance, that is DDR.

You realize you just told a person who could probably own most people's ass in the game what DDR is...right?

Personally, I'm still doing Standards. I can do 2 or 3 Heavies (namely, Lets Groove). Once I get my stamina built up, I'm gonna go for the Heavies . I'm totally obsessed with the game. I play it like everyday either on kb or pad, hehe.

I like DDR, even though Im not that good at it. I probably wouldnt touch many standard songs, and I cant see myself doing heavy for a while. Plus, there isnt a machine near me v_v. But, I can do keyboard fairly well (Aced a couple heavy songs). I just have better hand-eye coordination than foot-eye() coordination.

How can I have that when you haven't even informed me how you're doing as of late.

MAX 300-wise on the keyboard I've been able to pull an A on Standard...as for Heavy...haven't passed it yet...get close but I think the end always kills me.

I think there's a certain barrier with the keyboard...because there are certain steps a dinky lil keyboard isn't going to be able to cover with the way I'm pressing buttons. (specifically the up/down quick switchovers)

I figured that out my second time around First time I played it was basicly just us nubs there. The second time I went, I some some okay players on light. Looked at their feet and saw how they were staying on the squares. I tried that, it took a bit of getting used to, but I managed.

Slowbie

Today I've manage to finish two chanllenge songs. Although the grade isnt really worth bragging about, I still finished. And managed to get AA on Afronova on light.

First time I played was near the end of january. How bout everyone else?

I drove out and played DDR again today.

No Heavy Max300 passes this time I got within, say, 15-20 seconds of the end, and decided that between "Finish the song and vomit" and "Fail and not vomit", that both me and the arcade's staff would be more thankful if I took the latter option.

I haven't played in an arcade quite a while, though. It felt good to get back on the stage.

EDIT:

I also got lost on the way home and ended up in a different city and almost a different state

I dislike it, alot. The whole step on four different squares does not, and will not appeal to me. Not to mention i dont like techno much. If i want a pad to play a game ill buy nes and that olympic game with the running competition, now that was a hell of a game.
