Bile. Complete and utter tosh. I think you lot went to see a different film to me as I actually fell asleep in the 3rd quarter, and woke up when there was a big explosion. Honestly. This markls the time when a Resident Evil film turns into a Mila Jojovic(sp?) vehicle. Jill Valentine is kick arse, the character who portrays her is perfect (not to bad looking either) , and I LOVEd the first 10 minutes of the film, and then ALice cmaes and steals the film right from her. All Jill does then is RUN AWAY, looking scared.

I'm glad they messed around with Resi 3, and not CV because then I'd REALLY be upset! However....

Spoiler:
They ripped off that cool move Claire does in the intro of CV, witrh the guns. I've been waiting for that to appear in a film for AGES because it looks so cool.

Chris and Wesker don't appear in Resi 3.

If they make a third film they should....

Make an adaptation of Code Veronica.

Kill Off Alice in the first 10 minutes, come on, you know you have to .

Cast unknowns, I cringe at the prospect of Leo Di Caprio being given the role of Steve.

Keep the entire back story intact, you can slot it into the mythology they've already made up (sort of like how Highlander 3 ingored Highlander 2).

When I saw Jill in the trailer my decision was made to go see the movie, then when i looked into my wallet my decision was post-poned to go see the movie.

I loved Apocalypse except for the fight scene between Alice and Nemesis, that was kinda corny. It reminded me of a low budget 90's action movie. Otherwise, everything else pretty much kicked much arse. One thing bothers me though: where's Chris Redfield??? Wesker?

Yeah, I thought that was a tad odd. But on the other hand....
Spoiler:
Nemesis is a fan favorite. You KNOW they couldn't let him live, so they had to preserve his character somehow. Plus, if someone called you an inferior weapon, and threatened your girl, you would probably step up to the plate too.

I was going to see it today... but apparently, my friend had a "scheduling conflict"... in other words, didn't have enough time on his hands to see it today.

But I've received word that we'll do something tomorrow... maybe we'll go see it then.

I just got back from seeing it, and I must say this: This movie kicked so much ass, it's not even funny. Well the movie WAS funny in spots, but that just made it kick that much more ass.

For more reference of stuff that kicks ass, let's refer to the chart...

-------------------
List of Stuff That Kicks Ass
--------------------

Zombies: Yes
Hookers: Yes
Zombie Hookers: Yes
Gaara: No
Kabal: No
Kung Fu Fighting: Yes
Jill Valentine: Yes
Nemesis: Yes
Explosions: Yes
Uma Thurman: No

As you can plainly see, it does contain a great deal of ass-kickery. As a Resident Evil fan, references were everywhere from the games. Sienna Guillory was pretty badass as Jill, and Nemesis just looked awesome. However, there were a couple inaccuracies that irked me slightly. For example ...
Spoiler:
Jill doesn't smoke. Plus, there was the question of how Alice got even more of her powers, which look telepathic by the end of the movie...

But, it's nothing but a small thing the long run. Even if you haven't played the games, or are a diehard fan of them, I'm sure you will find it to be a worthwhile weekend action flick.

I give it 5 out of 5 S.T.A.R.S.
