That's where the 'sort of' part comes in . |

emulation is usually possible if it emulates on a faster thing
Not necessarily. Computers might be faster these days than a PS2, but once a good emulator finally comes out for the system... Just being "faster" than the PS2 won't cut it. |

Stupid me, I did interchange GBC as GBA for some reason.
But yeah, my biggest point was about Wine.
And honestly, the GBC processor is slower than the SNES one. I understand that NES emulation is possible, but not SNES. SNES emulation have problems on GBA.
I think the GBC was faster than the NES, but don't quote me on that.
A thumb of rule, emulation is usually possible if it emulates on a faster thing. Don't expect a microwave to run GB games for example. |

Ailure, if you had bothered to read the thread you'd see that he's asking about GBC. He KNOWS that it can be done on GBA, but he's wondering about GBC.

For Linux there is Wine, it works but "C&C: Tiberian dawn" ran very slow on my 400 mhz (it's supposed to run well on a pentium 100 mhz or something...), gonna try it on my 1.8 Ghz. (and I heard that WineX ran games much faster or something. Even faster than Windows in some cases )
Test Pocketnes for your NES rom's.
This one works intrestingly well but there is no sound and goes little slow and buggy sometimes. |

The NES/SNES and the GB/GBC are completely different architechtures and CPUs, so that really wouldn't be practical at all.
And actually Colin, there IS an NES emulator for the GBC...sort of . |

You need to acquire a NES/SNES emulator.
You can't just convert a NES rom to a GBC rom just like that - it would be like taking a PC game and running a converter to allow it to play on a Linux system. It can't be done and I'm fairly certain there's no NES emulator for the GBC. |

Actually, what I want to do is put the transformed ROM files on my Palm Pilot, and I only have a GB/GBC emulator. |

If your doing this to transfer roms to your real gb or gbc, I don't think its possible. The GBC's processor couldn't handle a SNES rom, thats for sure, and definitely not a GB. The best your going to get that I'm aware of is PocketNES< --- >GBA flashcart, and put it on your GBA, which you don't have, I'm assuming. |
