ZoneAlarm was OK, but I got a lot of false alarms with it, and it would occasionally treat EVERY incoming connection attempt as an attack...I'd have to restart either ZA or my whole computer to get it working right again. 
If you have a little extra money to spend, I'd personally recommend a hardware firewall. I use a Linksys cable/DSL router, which lets me share my connection with multiple computers, AND acts as a firewall. I think they've gotten pretty cheap since I bought mine. |

Ugh, don't go with ZoneAlarm. 
It's worth it to just dish out the money for either McAfee or Norton. I've used both myself and I don't really have a preference, they both work very well. |

Anyway, you could try out ZoneAlarm or Kerio Personal Firewall. Those are the two best, I think... |

I just reformated my computer..so EVERYTHING is gone. Its faster then ever so now its getting use of this DSL.
I need a firewall because I dont want to reformat ever again, any suggestions? |
