Sorry for the big bump, but I do have valuable data that can be used. These sprites will help level design greatly.

1BA: Change to (Cave Graphics/Blue Palette X&1)
1BB: Change to (Grass Graphics/Green Palette X&1)
1BC: Change to (Submarine Graphics/Sub Palette X&1)
1BD: Change to (Castle Block Graphics/Red Palette X&1)
1BE: Change to (Snow Graphics/Snow Palette X&1)
1BF: Change to (Mud Tileset/Mud Palette X&1)
1C0: Change to (Castle Tileset/Red and Cyan Palette X&1)
1C1: Change to (Flower and Grass Tileset/Cyan Palette X&1)
1C2: Change to (Cave Tileset/Greenish Palette X&1)
1C3: Change to (Grass Tileset/Yellow Palette X&1)
1C4: Change to (Wooden Castle Tileset/Yellow Palette X&1)
1C5: Change to (Sewer Tileset/Sewer Palette X&1)
1C6: Change to (Flower Tileset/Greenish Blue Palette X&1)
1C7: Change to (Flower and Grass with Rocks Tileset/Dark Green Palette X&1)
1C8: Change to (Rocky Castle Tileset/Brown Palette X&1)
1C9: Change to (Flower and Grass with Line Guides Tileset/Green Tileset X&1)

This was used in 3-4, from the mud to the castle tileset. Also these are used in 4-4 when you go from the grass tileset to the castle tileset.

As for your question, Mutation, what will happen is the graphics will be glitched. That is all. No screenshot needed.

Oooh, that's awesome. But does it crush the ground like it does in the Bowser battle?

Yes. You have to have the tileset be able to use object 14, though, so only a few tilesets would work.

Oh, object 14 is the ceiling and floor with cross section. I see why you would need a tileset that can use that object. When the rocks crush the ground, it will put the cross section in there, like the chomp sharks do. Good discovery.

What happens if you use it in a tileset that can't use object 14? (please provide a screenshot) (Yes, before you ask, I'm too much of a lazy bastard to find out myself.)

2P is invincible, yes, but that sprite was made only for the mini game, so of course it acts weird.

S46: Burt The Bashful
SCF: Rocks from Bowser Battle (NO GRAPHICS GLITCH WITH ROCKS!)
SD7: Slug Boss
SEF: Makes Mario disappear and only Yoshi playable. Really cool.
S155: Fat bouncing Goonie that only appears when you see it from the right?
S171: Pirahna Plant Boss
S196: Rock Platform that falls.

Very interesting, but how does the 2P lose a life other than falling off a cliff or landing in lava? Is he practicly invincible?

What exactly does the 2P sprite do? Does it act in the same way as the 1P Yoshi, just with a glitched mario on his back? And can the 2 sprites hurt each other?

I know I should just look into this myself but I would like to get more info on it before I go download a YI rom.

Yes, the graphics are in there, but they are unused. I have no clue where the sprites for it would be, but I would think they would either be one of the many NSPs or they were never made into the game... or they are hidden in the bubble sprites... who knows? Just play around and see if you can find them...

Very interesting... 1B9 is controlled by 2P, right?

hm I thought I clarified what they were in my documents...

1B7 is the bandit from the Watermelon Mini-game.
1B9 is the bandit from the Balloon toss Mini-game.

I suggest that you don't use these since they won't work properly in a normal level.

Well, can this be... well, an "Unkown Object and Sprite" thread? I haven't really messed around with many unknown sprites, but have found some objects. I will post them here anyway...

X31: Wall used in 1-4 that looks like a falling wall. Width is six and height is six.
S36: The falling wall used in 1-4. THERE MUST BE TWO OF THESE WITH FOUR SPACES IN BETWEEN THEM FOR THEM TO WORK! Let me try to explain better. Place S36 at X coordinate 30. Then place it again at X coordinate 35. Y position must be the same and the layer 3 header must be set properly.

I will look for more...

I found out about that player 2 sprite in a thread, I just wanted to expand upon what's known, what it can and can't interact with, and stuff like that, as well as make a thread where any other discoveries could be put in.

That thing about the 1B9 sprite is already posted in other topic.

I didn't know any thread this would fit in, so I decided to make my own. I have discovered some info on the watermellon contest sprites. First is 1B7. No matter where I put him he'll fall from the sky. This sprite doesn't move much, but it will sometimes grab a watermellon from the Watermellon generator. Otherwise it appears to be a peacefull good natured sprite. However, if you lose Baby Mario, it will attempt to steal him, though even if he touches him he can't do anything. He'll also start to spit seeds at you, even when you regain Baby Mario, untill he runs out. He also seems to die instantly with a fire mellon attack from Yoshi, though oddly no matter how many seeds I spit at him he stays alive. He can only collide with solid ground, he will go through all sprites. He can collect water and fire mellons that don't come from the generator, but he won't know he has one unless it's from it. He also has no appeal for Ice Mellons sadly. The next sprite is 1B9, which is the same as 1B7 but player controlled. He can be interestingly used due to his ability to shoot seeds and fire, which do indeed hurt more then Yoshi. If anyone has any more discoveries for YI sprites, post them here.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the sprite can jump as high as a normal Yoshi jump, sans the hovering. Ice mellons have no effect on him if used against him.
